On July 1, 2023, the update of the Regulations and Privacy Policy of the animalhotels website and mobile application comes into force, resulting from the need to adapt the documents to changes in the animalhotels website and mobile application that will be implemented in the near future and to clarify the applicable provisions of the Regulations and Privacy Policy.
In addition, we are also introducing editorial changes aimed at increasing the clarity of the text of the Regulations and the Privacy Policy.
Major Changes
Statute:
- New definitions - the term "Application" appeared, which refers to the introduction of a mobile application. The Regulations therefore also apply to the use of the mobile application. The concept of Registration also appeared, explaining what this activity is.
- Editorial changes - standardization of the application URL to https://animalhotels.com. In addition, there has been a change in the words used in point - VIII. Privacy policy. The word "Petsitter" has been changed to "User" and "Service Provider" to Aniamlhotels.com.
- Change of technical requirements - adding a new sub-point to the technical requirements. This change relates to the introduction of a mobile application available for iOS and Android. This changes the technical requirements needed to install such an application.
- Change in the rules of using the Website and/or Application - a new rule of using the website and/or mobile application - concerns the immediate response to pet owners by petsitters and the obligation to be in constant contact. Subsection 4 "publishing opinions not based on own experience, untrue or violating the Regulations" has also been removed, due to the fact that the next section sounds very similar (publishing opinions about Caregivers that are not based on the personal experience of the Owners, which are intentionally inaccurate or misleading or that violates these Terms).
- Registration Change - adding a new sub-point regarding registration on the website or application. Each user allows the sending of an SMS with a numeric code that will verify the phone number and allow the user to register at animalhotels.com.
- Change of Opinion - adding information that opinions can be issued only after the booking is completed. In addition, information has been clarified that an opinion can be issued by a logged-in user who has booked services with a caregiver on the website or mobile application and paid for this online reservation, and that the opinion appears immediately in the caregiver's profile - at the time of issuing it. Adding information that the petsitter can only reply to the opinion when the owner of the pet has given the petsitter an opinion and that the petsitter must be logged in
- Changing the end of using the Website and/or Application - adding new points - animalhotels may delete, cancel or block access to the account of a user who has broken the rules of the regulations, and may also deactivate the offer of a petsitter. In addition, animalhotels.com may remove any user who has not provided full personal data for 60 days (except for the telephone number that is needed for registration) and has not logged into this account within 60 days.
- Newsletter change - the point regarding the newsletter has been temporarily removed. So far, we have not implemented this functionality and at the moment we do not plan to do so in the future.
Privacy policy:
- New definition - the concept of Applications appears, which refers to the introduction of a mobile application. The privacy policy therefore also applies to the use of the mobile application.
- Change purposes and legal grounds for data processing - information on the protection of personal data when sending the newsletter has been removed. So far, we have not implemented this functionality and at the moment we do not plan to do so in the future.
- Change of privacy policy changes - information has been added that animalhotels can also send information about changes to the privacy policy via SMS to those users who have not provided an e-mail address.
Pursuant to the Regulations of the website and mobile application, the User has the right, before the date of entry into force of the changes to the Regulations and the Privacy Policy, to terminate the contract without incurring any fees with effect from the date of informing the User about the planned change, but not later than the date on which these changes would be made. used. If the User submits a written objection to the changes to the Regulations and/or the Privacy Policy and does not terminate the contract, then the contract expires on the day preceding the date of entry into force of the proposed changes, without the User incurring additional fees on this account.
