Summary of changes in documents in version 8.0.0

On 16.02.2026, an update to the following documents will enter into force:

  • Terms and Conditions
  • Privacy Policy
  • AH2025 Promotion Terms and Conditions (updated name of the new document: Animalhotels Promotion Terms and Conditions)
  • LATO10 Promotion Terms and Conditions

The changes result from the need to adjust the documents to upcoming changes in the animalhotels website and mobile application that will be implemented in the near future, as well as to clarify the applicable provisions of the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy and promotional terms and conditions.

In addition, we are introducing editorial changes aimed at improving the clarity of all texts.

Key changes

Terms and Conditions 8.0.0

A number of changes have been introduced to better organise the content of the Terms and Conditions, improve its readability and adapt it to new services provided by Animalhotels. The amendments cover both the definitions and specific sections.

Changes in definitions (Section II):

  • Shortening the list of definitions – definitions that are not used in the current wording of the Terms and Conditions have been removed, including: “acceptance of booking”, “price list”, “action”, “marketing activity”, as well as the following statuses: “paid”, “completed”, “accepted”, “in progress”, and “booking completion”.
  • Modification of existing definitions – changes were introduced to definitions such as: “cancellation of booking”, “Caretaker”, “Booking”, “Service”.
  • Adding new definitions – the following new terms were introduced: “Amenities” and “Request”.
  • Change in naming – the names of certain definitions were adjusted, for example:
    • “Booking” (previously: “Service Booking”),
    • “Care Service Agreement” (previously: “Service Agreement”),
    • “Care Service” (previously: “Care Service”).

All definition changes have been consistently applied throughout the entire Terms and Conditions.

Expansion of the scope of services

Provisions regarding new services provided by Animalhotels have been added, including:

  • the possibility to create a Request in order to find a suitable Caretaker;
  • concluding Care Service Agreements;
  • making payments for Care Services to the Caretaker via the Payment Service Provider;
  • the possibility for Caretakers to purchase educational training.

Changes to specific sections

  • Section VI point 6 and its subpoints (2 and 13) were clarified to improve the clarity of the text;
  • Section VI point 7 was extended to include Animalhotels’ right to analyse Users’ content that is not personal data (reviews, descriptions, photos, messages) in an automated or manual manner;
  • Section XII – Bookings was significantly modified and adapted to the new booking mechanism. New points 3–9 were introduced, setting out the detailed booking process. Users’ rights and obligations have been maintained;
  • Changes were made to Payments (Section XIII) and Fees (Section XIV):
    • Section XIII point 2 and Section XIV points 3–5 – the fee rules were simplified by removing additional service fees for Owners and clarifying that the 20% commission is charged from Caretakers’ earnings;
    • Section XIV point 10 – complaint rules were also updated by removing the guarantee of a full refund of the booking rate.
  • In Section XXI point 9, detailed scoring rules in the Ranking were removed and replaced with a general indication of actions that affect the awarding of points.

Privacy Policy 7.0.0

We have introduced several updates to make the document clearer and better reflect how Animalhotels operates.

  • Service improvement

We clarified that data may be processed using artificial intelligence technologies and automated systems – including for identifying behavioural patterns and further improving the platform and application.

  • Advertising personalisation

We clarified that personal data may be used in third-party advertising systems such as Meta, Google and Microsoft only on the basis of separate marketing consent. We also added information on how to withdraw consent and on data processing in connection with tools such as Meta Pixel.

  • Reviews and User ratings

Reviews and ratings are now additionally used in the algorithm that helps match Caretakers more effectively to the Owner’s Request.

  • Provision of services

This section now covers not only Care Services, but also new services available within Animalhotels, including courses and training. Data may also be processed in connection with educational orders – e.g., confirmations, reminders or proof of purchase.

Animalhotels Promotion Terms and Conditions 2.0.0 (previously: AH2025 Promotion Terms and Conditions) and LATO10 Promotion Terms and Conditions 2.0.0

The changes mainly relate to adapting the documents to the possibility of implementing them under the new discount coupon settlement system on the website and application. The Animalhotels Promotion Terms and Conditions 2.0.0 also introduce clear rules on how the promotion may be terminated.

In accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the website and mobile application, the User has the right, before the changes enter into force, to terminate the agreement free of charge with effect from the date of notifying the User about the planned changes, but no later than the date on which such changes would be applied. If the User submits a written objection to the changes and does not terminate the agreement, the agreement shall expire on the day preceding the date of entry into force of the proposed changes, without any additional fees charged to the User.

If you do not accept the new content of the above-mentioned documents, you may terminate your service agreement with us by deleting your Account or by writing to info@animalhotels.com. Account deletion can be done in the Animalhotels app settings: "Account Settings" → Scroll to the bottom → Click "Please delete account" → Complete the information → Your account will be automatically deleted.
