Valid for users registered before 22.01.2024.

Dear User, Dear User

On 06.02.2024, the update of the Regulations of the animalhotels website and mobile application enters into force, resulting from the need to adapt the documents to changes in the animalhotels website and mobile application, which will be implemented in the near future, and to clarify the applicable provisions of the Regulations with changes in the provisions of Polish law.

The most important changes

Statute:

  • Gamification naming change - due to the ambiguity of the name, it was changed to "ranking" to make it easier to associate it with the original ranking that can be found on the animalhotels.com website.
  • Removing examples from the table in point XVIII - the examples concerned when specific ranking levels would appear. They could be misleading, because to obtain a specific level it is not enough to have a given number of care sessions.
  • Adding the url address of the privacy policy - due to the lack of reference to the privacy policy in the regulations, a missing link has been included that will redirect you to the privacy policy of animalhotels.com to be able to read its details.
  • Adding a newsletter - the concept of a newsletter is introduced and it will be a functionality that allows us to inform users who have consent about new products, encourage them to take advantage of guardians' offers and inform about promotional campaigns. You can opt out of this service at any time by changing your consent in your privacy settings.
  • Specification of payment methods - detailed, available payment methods that can be used by the pet owner who wants to pay for the care reservation have been provided.
  • Adding information about the use of photos and videos placed on the website animalhotels.com - these photos will be used to promote paid and unpaid platforms/mobile applications and to promote offers of specific caregivers, so to increase interest among pet owners.
  • Change in the value of the service fee - from this update the service fee will be 15%. Incurring this fee is associated with the increasing costs of maintaining the website and mobile application.
  • Explanation of booking care - the regulations explain step by step how to book care services on the website and in the animalhotels.com mobile application.
  • Changing the range of animals that can be taken care of - due to the introduction of the possibility of taking care of spiders and birds and other animals that may be poisonous or egotistical, this mention has been removed. Additionally, farm animals, including horses, may appear, so this mention was also removed.
  • Resignation from bullet points in point II. Definitions.
  • Resignation from point VIII. Privacy policy for a broader privacy policy, available at the link: https://animalhotels.com/polityka-prywatnosci.
  • Adding minor punctuation changes and correcting the names of definitions in the content of the regulations.
  • Clarifying the method of canceling the reservation and adding information that unless the guardian and the owner agree otherwise, animalhotels will refund the entire amount of the reservation fee.
  • Change of score in the ranking - as part of the search engine changes, the score in the animalhotels ranking is changed.
  • Change of the model for searching and booking caregivers - in point XI. Reservations The rules for making reservations and searching for caregivers have been changed.
  • Adding information about the need for the guardian to have a Stripe account - in point XII. Payments include information that in order to receive care billing, caregivers must connect their animalhotels account to their Stripe account. Additionally, there is information that this process is initiated via the website and mobile application. It has been noted that having a Stripe account allows for a transaction between the owner and the custodian.
  • Adding information in point VI "Rules for using the Website and/or Application" about the provision of services by the pet sitter/hotel - the petsitter is obliged to provide care services personally. Additionally, it is prohibited to transfer care to other petsitters (and hotels) without prior notice to the animal owner and the animalhotels team.

In accordance with the Regulations of the website and mobile application, the User has the right, before the date of entry into force of the amendments to the Regulations, to terminate the contract without incurring fees with effect from the date of informing the User about the planned change, but no later than the date on which these changes would be applied. If the User submits a written request if you object to the changes to the Regulations and do not terminate the contract, then the contract expires on the day preceding the date of entry into force of the proposed changes, without the User incurring additional fees in this respect.

Best regards,
