On 01.08.2024, the update of the Regulations of the animalhotels website and mobile application enters into force, resulting from the need to adapt the documents to changes in the animalhotels website and mobile application, which will be implemented in the near future, and to clarify the applicable provisions of the Regulations with changes in the provisions of Polish law.
The most important changes
Regulations:
- Adding information to point XI on the traditional booking method - we want customers to have a choice between the traditional and new method of finding a caregiver.
- Adding information on the verification of each caregiver after registration, which took place after the release of version 3.2.0 of the application and website - verification will be carried out by Stripe when connecting the payment to your account on animalhotels. Caregivers registered earlier will be verified by Stripe on the previous terms.
- Changing the entry on prohibited animals - the entry on the prohibition of giving away exotic and poisonous animals has been removed. The change is due to the fact that spiders that can be given into care via the website/application may be poisonous. Mostly every spider is poisonous, but not all of them are dangerous to humans. The same applies to exotic animals. Snakes, lizards, turtles or other small mammals can be considered exotic.
- Change in service fee - from this update, the service fee will be 20%. The increase in this fee is related to the increasing costs of maintaining the website and mobile application.
- Addition of information regarding the share capital - Share capital is a fundamental financial component of every company, indicating the total contributions made by shareholders or partners. The updated records include specific data regarding the amount of the share capital and the structure of contributions, which aims to increase the transparency of our financial operations.
- Addition of information to section VII regarding the rules concerning caregivers conducting business - Caregivers are required to provide true information and comply with consumer law.
- Addition of information to section VII about the provision by animalhotels.com of a service or enabling the conclusion of care agreements.
- Addition of information to section X regarding content published by caregivers - The caregiver must have the right to the content, and the content must not infringe any third-party rights.
- Addition of information to section XII regarding price diversity - The record includes information that prices are set individually by each caregiver.
- Change of record in section XII regarding the conclusion of the agreement during reservation - The transaction between the caregiver and the pet owner is a contract, and the pet owner is obligated to pay for the service.
- Addition of information to section XII regarding data processing during the newsletter delivery process - Every user who has consented to the newsletter also agrees to data processing in the manner specified in the Privacy Policy.
- Modified section XVI - This section refers to cancellation and with the new update, the user can cancel reservations within 14 days from the date of the contract. Cancellation can be performed by sending a model withdrawal from the contract to the caregiver's email address or via mechanisms available at animalhotels. The section also includes information about the refund by animalhotels within 14 days.
- Update regarding the performance of services before the expiry of the withdrawal period in section XVI - If the pet owner decides to start the service provision within 14 days from the date of the contract, it will imply his express consent to start the service before the end of the withdrawal period. By choosing this option, the pet owner declares that he/she is aware of losing the right to withdraw from the contract once the service is fully performed. This change ensures clarity and protection for both pet owners and caregivers.
- Addition of additional information to section XX regarding withdrawal from the account management agreement - The clause provides users the ability to withdraw from the account management agreement on the Animalhotels.com platform without giving a reason, within 14 days from the day the account was established. To exercise this right, the User may delete their account or send a declaration of withdrawal to the email or postal address of Animalhotels.com. A model statement is also available, which can be used for this purpose.
- Addition of information to point XXII regarding the choice of Polish law - this means that despite the choice of Polish law, users are still entitled to all protections arising from legal provisions that cannot be contractually excluded, in accordance with the law applicable in the absence of such a choice.
- Adding information regarding the necessity of possessing the appropriate formal consents depending on the country in which the caregiver operates, to offer pet sitting services in compliance with the law

- Addition of information about the share capital - Share capital is a fundamental financial component of every company, informing about the sum of contributions made by shareholders or partners. The updated entries contain specific data on the amount of the share capital and the structure of contributions, aiming to enhance the transparency of our financial operations.
- Addition of information about data processing in the context of newsletter services - animalhotels.com processes personal data of users for the purpose of sending newsletters that contain information consistent with the user's order. To receive the newsletter, the user must give their consent, which complies with legal requirements. The legal basis for processing personal data for this purpose is based on Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This change aims to ensure transparency in the use of personal data and compliance with applicable legal regulations.
Terms and Conditions of the "10% Discount Coupon" Promotion
- Extension of the promotion period until the end of 2024.
In accordance with the Regulations of the website and mobile application, the User has the right, before the date of entry into force of the amendments to the Regulations, to terminate the contract without incurring fees with effect from the date of informing the User about the planned change, but no later than the date on which these changes would be applied. If the User submits a written request if you object to the changes to the Regulations and do not terminate the contract, then the contract expires on the day preceding the date of entry into force of the proposed changes, without the User incurring additional fees in this respect.
