Terms and Conditions 8.0.0
A number of changes have been introduced to reorganise the content of the Terms and Conditions, improve their clarity and adapt them to new services provided by Animalhotels. The amendments cover both the definitions section and individual provisions.
Changes in definitions (Section II):
- Shortening the list of definitions – definitions not used in the current version of the Terms and Conditions have been removed, including “acceptance of booking”, “price list”, “action”, “marketing action”, as well as the following statuses: “paid”, “completed”, “accepted”, “in progress”, “booking completion”.
- Modification of existing definitions – changes have been made to the following terms: “cancellation of booking”, “Caretaker”, “Booking”, “Service”.
- Adding new definitions – the following terms have been introduced: “Algorithm” and “Enquiry”.
- Change of naming – the names of the following definitions have been adjusted:
- “Animal Service Agreement” (previously: “Care Service Agreement”),
- “Animal Service” (previously: “Care Service”).
All definition changes have been consistently applied throughout the Terms and Conditions.
Expansion of the scope of services:
Provisions regarding new services provided by Animalhotels have been added, including:
- the possibility of creating an Enquiry to find a suitable Caretaker;
- concluding Animal Service Agreements;
- making payments for Animal Services to the Caretaker via the Payment Service Provider;
- the possibility to purchase educational training sessions for Caretakers.
Changes to the content of individual sections:
- Section VI(6) and its subpoints (b and m) have been adjusted to improve the clarity of the message;
- Section VI(7) has been extended to include Animalhotels’ right to analyse Users’ content that is not personal data (reviews, descriptions, photos, messages) in an automated or manual manner;
- A new section, Section XI – Caretaker search mechanism, has been added in connection with the requirements of the European Omnibus Directive;
- Section XII – Bookings has been significantly modified and adapted to the new booking mechanism. New points 3–9 have been introduced to describe the booking process. Users’ rights and obligations have been maintained;
- The provisions on payments (Section XIII) and fees (Section XIV) have been updated:
- Section XIII(2) and Section XIV(3–5) – fee rules have been simplified by removing additional service fees for Owners and clarifying that the service fee (20%) is charged from Caretakers’ earnings;
- Section XIV(10) – complaint rules have been changed by removing the guarantee of a full refund of the booking fee.
- In Section XXI(9), detailed ranking point rules have been removed and replaced with a reference to general actions that affect the awarding of points.

We have introduced several updates to make the document clear and better reflect Animalhotels’ operation.
Service improvement
We clarified that data may be processed using artificial intelligence technologies and automated systems to identify behavioural patterns and further improve the platform and application.
Reviews and User ratings
Reviews and ratings are now used in the algorithm to match Caretakers with the Owner’s Enquiry more effectively.
Provision of services
This section covers Animal Care Services and new services within Animalhotels, including courses and training sessions. Data may also be processed in connection with the fulfilment of educational orders, e.g. confirmations, reminders or proof of purchase.
In accordance with the Terms and Conditions of the website and mobile application, the User has the right, before the changes enter into force, to terminate the agreement free of charge with effect from the date the User is informed about the planned changes, but no later than the date on which such changes would become applicable. If the User submits a written objection to the changes and does not terminate the agreement, the agreement expires on the day preceding the date of entry into force of the proposed changes, without the User incurring any additional fees for this reason.
If you do not accept the updated content of the documents listed above, you may terminate the agreement for the provision of services by deleting your Account. You can delete your account in the Animalhotels application settings: “Account settings” → scroll to the very bottom → select “Delete my account” → fill in the required information → your account will be deleted automatically.
