Each caregiver sets their own cancellation terms. It is essential to review the cancellation terms before making a reservation. If you cancel the reservation, the amount paid will be refunded according to the caregiver's terms.
Example
Below is an example model of cancellation terms:
- 7 days or fewer before the start of care – 50% refund to the client
- 3 days or fewer before the start of care – 25% refund to the client
- 0 days or fewer before the start of care – 0% refund to the client
The following explains the settlement based on the example cancellation terms:
- The client paid £240.00 for the care (including the animalhotels service fee). The caregiver is owed £200.00, and the platform £40.00.
- From 'today' to 8 days before the start of care (inclusive), the client will receive a 100% refund.
- The client will receive a refund of £240.00.
- From the 7th day before the start of care (inclusive) to the 4th day before the start of care (inclusive), the client will receive a 50% refund of the amount due to the caregiver and 50% of the service fee.
- The client will receive a refund of £100.00 + £20.00, totalling £120.00.
- The caregiver will receive a transfer of £100.00 for the cancelled care.
- £20.00 will remain with animalhotels.
- From the 3rd day before the start of care (inclusive) to the 1st day of care (inclusive), the client will receive a 25% refund of the amount due to the caregiver and 25% of the service fee.
- The client will receive a refund of £50.00 + £10.00, totalling £60.00.
- The caregiver will receive a transfer of £150.00 for the care that did not take place.
- Animalhotels will retain £30.00.
- Case of 0 days: If the client cancels on the day the care starts:
- The client will not receive a refund.
- The caregiver will receive a transfer of £200.00.
- Animalhotels will retain £40.00.
In cases where a discount coupon is used, the platform will account for the discounted amount.
The funds paid for the reservation will be refunded within 5-10 business days by the payment provider.
